Product Launch Presents Advanced Tech for Payment Security

First Data Corporation has introduced new breakthrough innovations that provide consumers more secure and flexible payment options and products that are streamlining once complex processes for merchants.

 

The FD35 PIN Pad is an all-inclusive peripheral that is changing how payments are accepted and secured through advanced technologies. This comprehensive, consumer-facing device not only accepts PIN-based debit transactions and swipes traditional payment cards, but is enabled to accept chip-and-PIN cards (aka EMV), contactless cards, mobile payments and key fobs.

 

Leveraging technology delivered through the iPad2, First Data SNAP! (Sales Navigation Application) is streamlining the sales process from the initial merchant meeting through on-boarding. SNAP! is a portable interface that offers a single entry point into First Data’s product suite, generates all necessary paperwork, and collects an electronic signature so merchants can begin accepting payments in no time.

 

The OfferWise solution is an open platform that allows offer publishers to electronically attach offers such as deals, eCoupons and loyalty programs to one or more of a consumer’s payment cards or mobile wallets to enable automatic redemption of the offer at the point of sale. The OfferWise solution can link to any type of payment card including all major credit association brands, PIN or signature debit.

 

The PCI Rapid Comply solution is an easy-to-use online Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) and vulnerability scanning tool that can help small to mid-sized merchants achieve and maintain Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance. PCI Rapid Comply can minimize the volume of SAQ questions merchants must answer by as much as 85 percent.

 

First Data has also extended two key products to new sales channels. The First Data Global Gateway e4, an online payment gateway built on the latest technology and designed to address eCommerce merchants’ business needs, is now available through the Agent channel. National clients can also now leverage the Money Network® ACH Origination Portal, a web-based solution to store, manage and schedule the release of payment files to First Data prepaid solution accounts issued by MetaBank™. The portal also enables the routing of ACH files for disbursement to accounts at any U.S. financial institution.
