2/21/2012
Hospitality Technology Magazine has snagged Jack Clare, vp/information technology & CIO of YUM! Restaurants International, to speak at its 17th annual Multi-Unit Restaurant Technology Conference (MURTEC). Clare will be presenting the second day keynote address on March 23 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. In his speech, “Success through Synergy: Merging Technology & Operations for Back-of-House Efficiency,” Clare will discuss the framework of the technology implementation and results and benefits of the solution, including increased customer satisfaction, remote management opportunities and compliance oversight capabilities. He will also offer insight into the synergy that is required between technology and operations to undertake such an initiative.

Yum Restaurants International has committed to its “customer mania” philosophy and has undertaken an innovative approach to kitchen automation. The company is wirelessly networking cooking appliances to gain real-time monitoring and administration capabilities, while delivering an even better experience for customers. “In a consumer-focused industry like ours, delivering on the brand promise is paramount. [Having a] process automation solution enables us to deliver an even better experience for our customers and truly reinforces our ‘customer mania’ philosophy,” says Clare.

Attendees who come to MURTEC are often seeking the most cutting-edge solutions and crave feedback from their peers about what technology implementations are working. “I come [to MURTEC] looking for new hardware and software solutions that will help drive business,” Chris Demery, vice president of Domino’s Pizza, says. “I have found partners that have become very valuable to us and I found them at MURTEC. Ultimately, I really like the nature of the sessions and the vendors that come to MURTEC.”

MURTEC 2012 takes place March 21-23. Attendees will hear from leading restaurant professionals about specific ways they are aligning technology initiatives with business objectives on topics such as integrating mobile platforms, standardizing POS data, optimizing front- and back-of-house operations, business intelligence strategies, and the use of social media. The conference also boasts numerous networking opportunities that enable attendees to connect with visionary leaders, step back and examine business plans, and discover new ways to move companies forward. Pre-registration is required.
