Updated Mobile Ordering Restaurant App Ties into Loyalty

2/14/2013
Hot on the heels of new studies that show consumers are very accepting of mobile ordering technology, Granbury Restaurant Solutions (GRS)  released its latest enhancements to its restaurant mobile ordering app. This version makes it even easier for customers to customize their orders, with graphical topping pictures that can turn on and off, fractional pizza ordering, and integration into the GRS SalesBuilder customer loyalty system.

With surveys showing that upwards of 69% of consumers have ordered food on their mobile phone, restaurants are eagerly moving toward customized mobile apps that speed up the ordering process for their customers and allows them to skip the line to pick up their food.   Restaurants find that downloadable apps, as opposed to mobile-optimized websites, help to reinforce the restaurant brand in the mind of the consumer and encourage loyalty.

The GRS mobile ordering software provides restaurants a branded, downloadable app that is tied to their online ordering system and integrates with many popular POS systems, or sends orders direct to kitchen printer or email.   Each app is customized for the individual restaurant and features a store locator tied to the phone GPS, easy re-order of the customer’s favorite meals, and quick access to customize a new order.

Integrated customer loyalty allows restaurants to offer customers rewards for purchase and reach out to customers via automated e-mails or text messages that trigger when customers haven’t ordered in a while, or reach a reward threshold.
