Tasti D-Lite: How to Bridge the Online, In-store Experience

2/22/2011
The perception that social media technologies are solely an extension of restaurateurs’ marketing efforts is beginning to change. More and more organizations are demonstrating that IT’s increasing role can not only support, but provide influence and leadership in integrating the in-store brand experience within online communities.

In his keynote presentation, “The Journey from Social Negligence to Social Prominence,” BJ Emerson, vice president of technology for Tasti D-Lite, will explore the increasing relationship between IT and social technologies at the 2011 Multi-Unit Restaurant Technology Conference (MURTEC), this March 16-18 at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Nev.

Attendees will walk away challenged to look differently at the role of IT and social technologies, and they will be equipped with the "why" and "how" to better serve their organizations. Other areas to be covered include: working with other disciplines to accomplish organizational goals as they relate to social media; how technology can be vital in bridging the widening gap between the online experience and the in-store experience.
