VeriFone's PCCharge Version 5.8.3 Features New Certifications, FSA/HRA Support

VeriFone releases version 5.8.3 of PCCharge, its PC-based payment processing solution perfectly suited for standalone or integrated environments. PCCharge version 5.8.3 includes the following updates:

• Added TCP/IP SSL connectivity support for American Express Direct Transactions: PCCharge now supports processing TCP/IP SSL transactions directly through American Express, thereby helping merchants to reduce transaction fees as well as speeding up transaction times.
• Added New Features for CITI Private Label (CITI): As of this version, CITI users other than "Manager" can process New Accounts (credit applications) and access PCCharge's Account Look-up function. Additionally, an "Opt Out" check box was added to the Credit Application processing settings window (instead of requiring users to configure each transaction). "ALT Source Code" was similarly converted into a configurable parameter in the user interface for credit application processing. Finnaly, this version of PCCharge includes updates to credit plans and disclosure verbiage.
• Added Support for New Transaction Types through Chase Paymentech (GSAR): Chase Paymentech now supports pre-paid/partial auth transaction processing for all card types (via terminal-based processing).
• Added Support for New Transaction Types through Global Payments East (NDC): Global Payments East users now have access to direct SSL connectivity transaction processing, as well as pre-paid/partial auth transaction processing for all card types (via terminal-based processing). This version of PCCharge also provides Global Payments East users with the ability to process FSA (Flexible Spending Accounts) and HRA (Health Reimbursement Arrangement) transactions. These new initiatives provide consumers with greater spending flexibility and reduced paperwork, while also giving merchants the ability to increase customer loyalty and consistently identify FSA/HRA cards.
• Added Support for Windows 7 Professional (32-bit) and Windows 7 Ultimate (32-bit): This version of PCCharge is ready for Microsoft's latest operating system.
• Added Support for VeriFone's Vx 810 PIN pad (US and Canadian debit only): PCCharge v5.8.3 allows users to access the Vx 810 PIN pad, a fully-loaded PIN pad that is simple to set up and suitable for use in any environment.
