Restaurants: Learn How to Drive Revenue, Guest Engagement With Your App at #HTREST 2016
According to Hospitality Technology’s research, half of all restaurants have a mobile app — but are they wielding it smartly? Our latest data shows that restaurants are still struggling to find the best mix of features and functions to drive revenue and guest engagement. In the second general session at the Restaurant Executive Summit (#HTREST) titled "Mobile Wins for Driving Revenue and Engagement," attendees will hear case studies of success from two companies that are winning with mobile technology.
The first case study will be presented by Marcus Wasdin, Vice President & Chief Information Officer, Church's Chicken. It will cover the topic, "Rethink Mobile Engagement." During his presentation, Wasdin will advise attendees not to let POS limitations hold them back from rolling out a meaningful mobile tool. For instance, not all apps need ordering-and-payment to provide value. Church’s Chicken is driving a different sort of transaction: feedback and engagement in exchange for rewards. In this presentation, Wasdin will explain to attendees how they can identify their most profitable customers, gather actionable insight from their experiences, and reward them in ways that create meaningful and measurable relationships.
The second case study will be presented by Desmond Edwards, GVP Digital Innovation, Bloomin' Brands and Donagh Herlihy, EVP Digital & CIO, Bloomin' Brands. Titled "Simplicity is the Ultimate Sophistication," the presentation will discuss how mobile solutions can solve a myriad of problems for customers, but they can also be complicated to use and create unease within the front line restaurant staff. So how can restaurants keep it simple and meet the greatest needs of guests? Edwards and Herlihy will share the Bloomin’ approach to providing simple, intuitive and targeted mobile solutions that drive revenue for brands including Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba’s Italian Grill and Bonefish Grill.
