Is an IT-integrated Biz Strategy the Key to Beating out Your Competition?

2/14/2011
According to Hospitality Technology’s 2010 Restaurant Technology Study, companies that remain competitive and robust tend to have high levels of integration between their IT and organizational strategies. With the restaurant industry starting to show signs of recovery, 2011 may just be the year to make this integration strategy a priority.

Nick Ibrahim, senior vice president and CIO for Ruby Tuesday Inc., will discuss the importance of aligning technology strategies with general business plans during his keynote presentation, "Roadmap to an Integrated Enterprise," at the 2011 Multi-Unit Restaurant Technology Conference (MURTEC), this March 16-18 at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Nev.

Ibrahim will draw upon first-hand experience and industry trends to lay out a roadmap for enterprise-wide integration with a focus on four major areas: needs assessment and system inventory; better understanding the real-world impact of integration on restaurant operations; a short-term and long-term action plan for integration; and the pitfalls to avoid in the process. Attendees in all stages of their own integration journey can expect to come away with actionable insights that will help them better align IT with business objectives.
