InvoTech Launches RFID Linen and Uniform Tracking System
InvoTech Systems, Inc., provider of the GIMS uniform and inventory control system for hotels, casinos, resorts, and theme parks worldwide for nearly 20 years, announced the launch of its GIMS Ultra-High Frequency Radio Frequency ID Uniform and Linen Systems. The new UHF-RFID system creates greater efficiency and accountability by automating tracking of thousands of uniform and linen items per minute via electronic scanning without hand sorting or counting.
InvoTech’s new UHF-RFID tracking system scans, inventories, and generates reports for entire carts of linens or uniforms at one time. The asset tracking with RFID system also protects a company’s investment in linens and uniforms. It maintains a real-time record of where each piece is located, whether in storage, the laundry, or in use.
InvoTech places specialized UHF-RFID readers and antennas in key locations around a property to track and report on the movement of hundreds of linens or uniforms per minute. Tracking is done automatically so that when linens or articles of apparel pass by a reader station, the system records and logs the movement without any labor required at all.
UHF-RFID laundry tags are fitted in pouches sewn into linens and uniforms. Inventory then may be tracked in large batches rather than by single-piece hand counts. The GIMS solution also automates the daily tracking of shipped and received linens and uniforms from laundries, and monitors inventory levels in all of a property’s storerooms. As part of its normal services, InvoTech specialists provide on-site system installation and training, as well as ongoing 24-hour customer support and software updates.
InvoTech will demonstrate its automated inventory control system at HITEC 2011 tradeshow June 20 to 23 in Austin, Texas, Booth #236.
