HotSchedules Evolves Labor Mgmt Platform with Tools to Reduce Turnover
HotSchedules, a provider of online employee scheduling and labor management solutions for the restaurant industry, has released HotSchedules Version 4. The HotSchedules platform has grown and improved through regular updates since Version 3 was first released in 2003. Version 4 offers a huge leap forward, adding a polished new user interface with new functionality that builds on existing features—all designed to increase employee satisfaction and reduce turnover.
My Plate, the new HotSchedules employee homepage, aggregates all content relevant to an employee in one place, including schedules, messages, polls, an avatar feature and other customizable widgets. My Plate will also pull weather forecasts from AccuWeather to help users to better understand how the weather may impact the customer count for that day and gives insight into how weather has affected business in the past.
Version 4 also includes user-specified permissions to the Digital Logbook, HotSchedules’ manager tool for collecting and managing critical documentation. Permissions make it possible to determine who sees what, meaning FOH and BOH managers can only read notes specified for them. Version 4 also adds a task feature to the Digital Logbook that allows managers to assign tasks to individuals and track them to completion.
HotSchedules Version 4 is available now. To get users comfortable with the new look and feel of HotSchedules, starting Jan. 17, users will be able to toggle between Versions 3 and 4 of HotSchedules.
