Consumer Advocates Ask Feds to Stop Unfair Hotel Pricing
A USA Today article by Barbara De Lollis, addresses the issue of unfair pricing in the hotel industry. The article describes how according to a recent study out of NYU, the hotel industry is expected to collect $1.95 billion in add-on fees from guests and consumer and business travel advocates are saying it’s time to complain to the federal government. Consumer advocate Ed Perkins and Business Travel Coalition chairman Kevin Mitchell have complained to the Federal Trade Commission about fees such as the controversial "daily resort fee.
