Caesars Rewards Guests for their Social Network Activity

4/25/2011
Nine Caesars Entertainment resorts in Las Vegas have launched a new mobile-social network experience powered by Topguest, a Silicon Valley company that connects traditional loyalty programs with social media.

Visitors at Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, Paris Las Vegas, Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, Flamingo Las Vegas, O'Sheas Casino, Imperial Palace, Harrah's Las Vegas, and Bally's Las Vegas can receive Total Rewards Bonus Reward Credits simply by using popular social media services such as Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Instagram and Gowalla on their mobile devices.

How it works
Members of Caesars Entertainment Total Rewards loyalty program may go to Topguest.com from their mobile web browser and click to become a member. Once the Total Rewards member is registered, he or she will receive Total Rewards Bonus Reward Credits with each geolocation check-in, tweet or Instagram photo taken at any participating venue in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Bonus Reward Credits will be added to eligible Total Rewards accounts within five to seven business days after notice. Guests will receive 50 Total Rewards Bonus Reward Credits for every "check-in" via Facebook Places, Foursquare, Gowalla, Twitter or geolocated Instagram photos.

Participants who check in through May 9, 2011 will also be entered to win an additional 500 Bonus Reward Credits, with multiple participants receiving such Bonus Reward Credits each day. Existing Topguest members who are not currently Total Rewards members may sign up for the loyalty program via a link from the Topguest website and receive an additional 500 Total Rewards Bonus Reward Credits. These 500 credits are awarded after Topguest members verify their account information at any of the Caesars Entertainment Total Rewards Centers in Las Vegas. The 500 Total Rewards Bonus Reward Credits will be added to member's account in 5-7 business days after this verification.

Total Rewards is a nationwide customer-loyalty program, with more than 40 million members. Cardholders receive cash, comps and other benefits based on casino play and on spending at participating Caesars Entertainment resort hotels, restaurants and other entertainment and retail outlets. Cardholders also obtain Reward credits through alliances with Norwegian Cruise Lines and Hawaiian Airlines. The Total Rewards program is free to enter for adults 21 and older.

"Our relationship with Topguest enables us to tap the power of social media to further enhance the Total Rewards loyalty program for our guests visiting us here in Las Vegas," says David Koloski, director of social media for Caesars Entertainment Las Vegas resorts. "Each year, we have thousands of geolocation check-ins, photos and tweets shared by visitors. With the Topguest program, we now have the infrastructure to offer a unique reward for this new form of loyalty."
