Travelodge Pushes Forward on Technology Strategy with Monscierge

Travelodge, the UK's largest independent hotel chain, has partnered with U.S.-based hospitality technology firm, Monscierge to develop a series of technology platforms to facilitate the customer journey—right from planning through to checking-out and sharing the hotel experience socially.
  
The first launch is a mobile booking application available for Android and iOS, so guests can easily locate and book rooms directly with Travelodge while on the move.
  
"We selected to work with Monscierge ahead of stiff competition due to their vast experience of building bespoke technology platforms within the hospitality industry,” said Matthew Young, IT Director at Travelodge. “They have worked hard to understand our business and have delivered our mobile app very quickly."   
 
Founded in 1985, Travelodge is the UK's largest independent hotel chain, operating over 500 hotels and approximately 38,500 rooms across the UK, Ireland and Spain. Over 17 million people stayed with Travelodge last year, with almost 80 percent of all reservations made online at www.travelodge.co.uk, which attracts almost one million visits each week.
  
The company has embarked on a strategy to build a new Travelodge that is Britain's favorite hotel for value.
