Tourico Holidays Expands Green Initiative Paperless Distribution Contracts

The second phase of Tourico Holidays' paperless 'Go Green' program, launched in February 2008, aims to expand efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly waste reduction practices to hoteliers in key regions worldwide. Hotel suppliers across the globe can now access secure online distribution contracts in six languages from the global wholesale brokerage company.

Online contracts are provided to hoteliers in addition to the company's proprietary Extranet Suite, or private network, and is available in the following languages:

• Chinese
• English
• Japanese
• Portuguese
• Spanish
• Thai

"This multilingual system affords our global hotel partners a clear, accurate and comfortable process of loading their chosen room rates, cut-off dates, promotions, terms and conditions," explains Asi Ginio, Vice President of Product Development for Travel Holdings, Inc., the company that owns and operates Tourico Holidays. "Our deep market penetration and instant time to market allows any updates made by hoteliers to be instantly available to our full portfolio of distribution channels serving over 100 countries worldwide."

The paperless contracting and management system additionally allows for real-time reporting, including unlimited access to all bookings online. Tourico Holidays will also provide reports at the time of cut-off, while allowing hoteliers to instantly review, report, and confirm reservations online, rather than relying on the standard practice of multiple fax notifications common to the industry.
