Macayo's Undergoes Complete POS Printer Replacement

Macayo's, an 18 store Mexican restaurant chain throughout Nevada and Arizona, announced that it has undergone a chain-wide POS receipt printer replacement and are now using the Citizen CT-S2000.

"The printer's backwards compatibility was a selling point," says Lee Schnoor, director of IT for Macayo's. "Since we were not going to upgrade all our stores at once we liked the CT-S2000's dual interface. It works with our older serial technology, but is also capable of USB interface for use with newer equipment when we upgrade."

Schnoor indicates that the CT-S2000's Spill-Shield, designed to allow the printer to endure splashes and spills, was also a driving factor behind Macayo's decision.

"No place is safe in the restaurant environment," adds Schnoor. "We are constantly amazed by peoples' ability to spill things where you never would imagine they could."
