Hewlett Packard Introduces Line of Business-Class Kiosks

Expanding its presence in the retail point-of-sale market, Hewlett Packard announced the unveiling of business-class kiosks with customizable design and function. The new line of kiosks can offer a variety of functionality, such as order entry, ticketing, bill payment, check-in, maps and directions, or human resource applications.

HP kiosks are built around the industry's broadest selection of HP business desktop PCs, thin client, or point-of-sale products. Using its business desktop portfolio as the core of its kiosks, HP can provide enterprise customers with a complete infrastructure that provides security and simple management from the kiosk, to the desktop, to the data center. Additional solutions include pre-consultation and design, the integration of hardware and software, and a full range of post-sales support leveraging HP Total Care services.

HP's collaborative relationships with KIOSK Information Systems and software application design and developers Nanonation and Netkey also provide businesses with self-service terminal applications and enclosure designs from which to choose. Pricing will vary depending on each customer's specific hardware and service needs.
