Attendees at MURTEC Executive Summit will get the inside scoop from three restaurant IT executives about their award-winning technology roll outs.

Little Caesar’s, Firehouse Subs and Panera Bread are winners of  Hospitality Technology (HT) magazine’s 2019 MURTEC Breakthrough Awards that recognize restaurant companies for outstanding innovation in enterprise- and customer-facing technologies.

Sponsored by NovaDine, an enterprise-class digital and mobile ordering solution provider to the restaurant industry, the 2019 awards will be presented at the MURTEC Executive Summit, taking place October 28-30 at the Four Seasons Scottsdale at Troon North in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Awards will be presented on Tuesday, Oct. 28.  Representatives from these three restaurant brands will share key takeaways about their winning solutions.

Firehouse of America LLC (Enterprise Innovator) created a custom franchise business management software called Fire Cloud, a comprehensive solution where Firehouse Subs franchisees can manage their businesses. Fire Cloud includes more than 20 applications, both custom developed as well as third-party single-sign on (SSO) integrations. The easy-to-use solution offers business intelligence and reporting tools.  In 12 months, franchises have saved more than 6,700 hours in data entry since the application’s deployment.

Panera Bread (Enterprise Innovator) will share details about its custom built point of sale (POS) solution and kitchen display system (KDS) that is part of its overall omni-channel strategy of providing a consistent and personalized customer experience across all channels. Real-world results include a 50% decrease in support costs associated with managing the menu, which is a complex activity given the frequent menu changes and tests.

Little Caesars (Customer Engagement Innovator) developed a comprehensive digital ordering solution. This tech-forward solution combines digital ordering with in-store pickup. The strategy includes a custom POS system, a mobile ordering application and self-service mobile order pick-up station, better known as the Pizza Portal. In addition, Little Caesars also looked to improve the back-of-the-house operations with an IoT device aimed at increasing business efficiency.

Plus, in the interactive workshop: Bridging the IT & Business Divide on Oct. 28 at 1 pm, Anita Klopfenstein, Chief Information Officer, Little Caesar's Enterprises, will share how Little Caesars transformed its digital footprint.  During the session, which also includes Jersey Mike’s, a 2019 Breakthrough Award honorable mention, attendees will workshop with their peers on how to benchmark competition, identify areas of opportunity, and create cohesive omni-channel strategies for positive business results.

This is only a fraction of what attendees will learn.  The 2019 MURTEC Executive Summit will bring together the top minds in IT leadership from leading restaurant brands and technology suppliers. The full agenda is available here.
