Zaplox Signs Agreement With The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center in Texas
Zaplox AB (“Zaplox”), a developer of mobile guest journey software for hotels and casinos, announced that it has signed an agreement with The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center, an award-winning AAA Four-Diamond resort located in the greater Houston area in Texas.
The agreement, which includes both Zaplox Premium and Zaplox Kiosk, will enable The Woodlands Resort, with 402 rooms, to offer their guests a mobile guest journey with the option of using a self-service kiosk upon arrival at the hotel. The solution is integrated with the Oracle Opera property management system (PMS) and the hotel’s lock system from dormakaba. In addition, the Zaplox Premium mobile app has been integrated with the ALICE concierge platform, making it easier for guests to communicate with the hotel staff and request room service and other concierge services via the app’s chat function.
Zaplox Premium will enable guests at The Woodlands Resort to use the same mobile app to check-in, unlock the door to their room, communicate with hotel staff, request room service, check out and pay, and book their next stay. In addition to the mobile app, The Woodlands Resort will also offer guests the option to use a kiosk for self-service check-in, key card encoding, checkout, and payment.
“It is very gratifying that The Woodlands Resort has chosen Zaplox to deliver the hotel’s digital guest journey. By providing guests the choice of a mobile app and a self-service kiosk, we want to make sure we meet their different needs and have a positive impact on customer satisfaction,” says Magnus Friberg, CEO at Zaplox AB. “Because guests no longer have to wait in line to check-in and get their key from the front desk, the hotel can focus on offering revenue-generating services – also available directly via the app at the guests convenience. We look forward to working with The Woodlands Resort to achieve even higher guest satisfaction by transforming to a digital guest journey.
The Woodlands Resort new digital guest journey is planned to go live in January 2020.
