Restaurant Next Recap: Toppers Pizza on Rapid Roll Out
Listening to customer feedback, Whitewater, Wis.,-based Toppers Pizza quickly added contactless curbside pickup this spring at its 60+ locations. “Our customers wanted the option to pick up food and not pay delivery fees,” said Tony Ellis, VP of IT.
It was one of three major features the brand rolled out in a matter of weeks to help streamline the guest experience and operations. Also new: Toppers' tracker feature lets guests know when their pizza will arrive. Plus, in-app tipping. And soon, Toppers will add a feature to their apps that will enable customers to notify the restaurant when they arrive.
How were they able to do it? In this 15-minute Restaurant Next Firechat, Ellis details the tech investments made that empowered the brand to quickly add three major features in a matter of weeks.
