Renovated Best Western French Property Chooses Classic RFID by VingCard Upgrade Kit
The Best Western Hôtel de la Paix in Reims, France has recently completed the installation of VingCard's Classic RFID contactless electronic upgrade kit with NFC cell phone compatibility. The 169-room property, located in the heart of Reims, offers convenient access to some of the most famous locations in the Champagne region, including Tau Palace, the Cathedral and Champagne Houses. The hotel also provides guests with modern amenities like an indoor pool, steam room, eight meeting rooms, an amphitheatre, the Bar La Paix and the Restaurant Cafe de la Paix. Recently renovated, the hotel's new modern luxuries are sure to impress even the most critical traveler.
"Our property has been a popular destination in France for many years, but we wanted to update our hotel to provide guests with the most modern luxuries and innovations available today," says Antoine Renardias, general manager of the Best Western Hotel de la Paix. "While we were pleased with the performance of our current Classic locks, we wanted to update to the latest RFID technology. With the Classic RFID kit, we were able to keep most of our existing locks and replace only the card reader, a smart and cost-effective choice."
The Classic RFID upgrade kit allows properties like Best Western Hôtel de la Paix to keep most of their existing Classic locks and replace only the bezel card reader. Upon completing the lock installation, Best Western Hôtel de la Paix will be fully equipped to provide user-friendly and intuitive guest interaction, including NFC cell phone compatibility, while decreasing the overall workload of the resort's management and staff. Classic RFID also provides a 600 event audit trail and innovative anti-cloning software.
Additionally, Classic RFID locks offer the Best Western Hôtel de la Paix the opportunity to go "green." The energy-efficient locks require fewer battery changes than traditional electronic locks, meaning less waste (not to mention lower battery costs) for the hotelier. Classic RFID's sealed hardware design also means less maintenance because the mechanism does not require cleaning.
Classic RFID is a secure open-platform system compatible with the three leading RFID ISO standards (ISO 14443A/MiFare, ISO 14443B, ISO 15693) and the new NFC transaction platform for cell phones. By installing Classic RFID locks, Best Western Hôtel de la Paix will be ready to offer remote check-in to guests with NFC-compatible cell phones.
