QSR Automations to Demo ConnectSmart, TeamAssist at NRA

QSR Automations, provider of the ConnectSmart in-store, online, and mobile connected technology solutions for restaurant businesses worldwide, will demonstrate its kitchen display, recipe viewer, table management, and reservations software and hardware solutions at the 2011 National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show (NRA), held May 21 to 24 at McCormick Place, Chicago. The exhibit will feature QSR’s ConnectSmart ControlPoint software, including new enterprise capabilities available this summer. 

 

ConnectSmart ControlPoint is an intuitive software tool for easily and effectively managing the computing systems used within a single quick service or table service restaurant location, or across hundreds of restaurants. ControlPoint enables quick configuration and advanced real-time diagnostics, as well as the ability to perform updates and changes without the requirement to physically touch each device. Through ControlPoint's graphical interface, users can pre-define each device in the restaurant configuration, creating a true plug-and-play environment to simplify installation and ongoing maintenance. Designed to manage QSR’s robust kitchen display and table management solutions, ControlPoint can also be used to manage windows-based third party systems, including point-of-sale terminals and applications. And with ControlPoint Enterprise, users have access to a centralized option for managing these solutions across a restaurant company’s entire enterprise. 

 

ControlPoint is included at no additional charge with the purchase of QSR hardware. As a special offer for NRA attendees, restaurant companies who purchase QSR hardware can receive a complimentary ControlPoint license for also managing the third party systems in that restaurant. In addition to ControlPoint, QSR will also exhibit is ConnectSmart TeamAssist for graphically presenting recipe information in the kitchen and anywhere in the restaurant, as well as ConnectSmart Kitchen (CSK) for sophisticated kitchen display capabilities. With the CSK, restaurants can route and display items and orders in a specific manner at each kitchen station to meet exact operational requirements. CSK and TeamAssist ensure the right information is available at the right time in the right place for the right team member. At NRA, CSK and TeamAssist will be running with QSR’s highly reliable xCeed kitchen controller, which provides support for graphical capabilities, browser-based access, and international character sets as well as numerous display options – including portrait or landscape mode, 1024x768 resolution, and rotated video. 

 

QSR will also demonstrate ConnectSmart Hostess and ConnectSmart Hostess Mobile for efficient greeting and seating in the restaurant, as well as providing accurate table statuses and wait times that can take into account a powerful and unique connection to the kitchen and dining room. Fully integrated with ConnectSmart Reservations for making reservations from within the restaurant are QSR's ConnectSmart WebReserve® and ConnectSmart WebAhead® solutions for enabling guests to make a reservation or join the wait list through the web, rather than tying up guest and team member time with phone calls to the restaurant. With ConnectSmart WebReserve Mobile and ConnectSmart WebAhead Mobile, guests have the added convenience of using their mobile phone for these activities. Further reducing stress while providing advertising capabilities, ConnectSmart GuestView enables the restaurant to share key information with guests in the restaurant via highly graphical in-store displays, such as party status on the wait list or order ready status in a quick service environment.
