Otto's Tacos in NYC says 'adios' to brick-and-mortar locations and partners with Mighty Quinn's kitchens.

Otto’s Tacos, a New York taco shop, has pivoted into off-premises, digital-only sales – deciding to vacate brick-and-mortar locations in exchange for delivery. For New Yorkers, this gives them the ability to still get their favorite street tacos, rice bowls and salads delivered to their home or office.

Otto's off-premises pivot comes as restaurants nationwide face the realities of doing business during the COVID-19 pandemic, they’re increasingly leaning in to off-prem.

“We’ve been building Otto’s Tacos for seven years in New York City, but, unfortunately, we are one of the many restaurants affected by the global pandemic and had to shut down all our physical locations,” said Otto Cedeno, founder. “We saw an opportunity to stay in the fight and continue to service customers who loved our tacos by re-launching our brand as a delivery-only model through our new partnership with Mighty Quinn’s Barbeque.”

All orders will be prepared through Mighty Quinn’s Barbeque kitchens and will be able to facilitate orders to all areas previously serviced by the former Otto’s Tacos restaurant locations. Currently the Upper East Side in Manhattan is up and running and additional digital locations will be reopening through the end of the year.

”We have been fans of Otto’s Tacos since their opening next door to our flagship location in the East Village in 2013. They have developed a strong brand in the city and we look forward to bringing their food back to New Yorkers” said Micha Magid, Co-CEO of Mighty Quinn’s BBQ.

The Otto’s Tacos menu consists of L.A. inspired street tacos, bowls and salads available for individual meals or group catering. The brand has continued its partnership with the large delivery platforms including Grubhub, DoorDash, UberEats, Caviar and Postmates. Orders can also be placed directly at ottostacos.com.
