Delaware North Companies Sportservice has implemented the MICROS 9700 Hospitality Management System (HMS) with Food & Beverage and Retail functionalities as its stadium management solution throughout Great American Ball Park, home to the Cincinnati Reds. The point-of-sale installation at Great American Ballpark, located in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio, spans 28 concession stands, two restaurants, 65 suites, seven retail stores, including the Reds Team Shop, and mobile service for 42,271 seats.

The complete solution implemented by MICROS includes Keyboard Workstation 270 (KW270) POS terminals used in fixed and portable concessions; Workstation 5A (WS5A) touchscreen terminals for use in fine-dining areas, suites and retail stores; Mobile MICROS with MC55A handheld devices for traditional in-seat ordering and MC55A handheld devices for use at the Reds Team Shop and Vivo PAY 4500m readers for Pay Pass and consumer-facing credit-card swiping.

To extend cost savings to the stadium, MICROS was also able to use existing components from the stadium’s previous MICROS TangentPOS system.
Additional software implemented includes the MICROS 9700 HMS version 3.6 with perpetual inventory and vending solutions, the MICROS 9700 Suites Management module for managing the stadium’s 65 suites, the MICROS iCare CRM and loyalty solution for Stored Value Ticketing and gift cards, and the mymicros.net business intelligence solution for enterprise reporting.
