Mandalay Bay Jumps at Self-Serve Beer Tech Following Vegas Approval

The Clark County Operation Manager's office approved Ellickson International's beer dispensing system for use just last week, and since then, the company has installed a total of 10 units in 10 different bars and casinos on and around the Las Vegas Strip. International beer distributing company Diageo performed the installation of each table at some of Las Vegas' most popular locations, including: 9 Fine Irishmen, McFadden's, and Mandalay Bay sports book, among others. The units were installed throughout the week of July 12, and became operationally functional on Friday, July 16.

The DraftMaster comes in two styles, fixed and mobile. The fixed table has four taps on the top that are all connected to kegs underground, and the mobile unit features two taps on top with the kegs positioned in a compartment underneath the table. Each unit has the entire beer dispensing system built in, with cooling units and pressurized beer dispensing systems packaged underneath that keep the beer flowing at the perfect temperature, and the taps on top of each unit can rotate up to 320 degrees for flexible access.

Each unit is controlled through an operating system behind the bar that allows the bartender to allocate the proper amount of beer to each table, and there is a meter built into the tap that reads the exact amount of beer being poured for the patrons to see. The controls have three different security levels that can be adjusted according to the operator's position, and it can be used to operate multiple tables for premise owners who have purchased multiple units.
