Lindner to Leverage Micros Private Cloud for Hotel Management

11/30/2011
Lindner Hotels will use MICROS Systems, Inc's OPERA and myfidelio.net to centralize and upgrade its legacy system hotel management environment.

Underlining this centralization strategy, Lindner will have 32 properties hosted in a private cloud in the MICROS Data Center in Frankfurt, Germany.

Lindner Hotels AG is a family owned and operated business with four- and five-star business- and resort-hotels located in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium and Spain, and expanding to Slovakia in 2012.

To support its fast growth, Lindner requires an overall improvement of top line revenue, the consolidation of business processes and standards, along with the adoption of consumer-facing technology and the enhancement of the guest experience to increase cross selling opportunities.

The MICROS OPERA solution will include various modules addressing property, headquarter, and distribution requirements. Integrated into OPERA, MICROS’s myfidelio.net connects Lindner Hotels’ single image inventory to multiple distribution channels, increasing business through the Lindner website, travel agents, and internet portals.

Based on a hosted multi-property configuration, various OPERA modules will be activated to allow hotel employees, distribution channels and partners to work with real-time information.

The MICROS solution will also include consumer-facing elements such as the webHotel web booking engine allowing instantaneous online merchandising within Lindner Hotels’ reach.

Interaction with Lindner Hotels’ central guest database will guarantee guest recognition on all direct points of sale including the company web sites and call centers.

“The strategically important enhancements provided by the MICROS suite of products, are very important to secure Lindner Hotels & Resorts’ future economic success,” says Otto Lindner, Lindner Hotels CEO.
