IDeaS Improves BI in Latest Rev Mgmt Software Release

IDeaS Revenue Solutions, provider of pricing and revenue management software, services and consulting, released the newest version of the IDeaS Revenue Management System (RMS) – version 6.0. The upgraded software contains several enhanced and newly-added features, including new marketing campaign functionality, that help hotels improve the process of forecasting and optimize revenue.

As one of the primary ways hotels create demand, marketing campaigns can have a significant impact on revenue forecasts. To help clients better understand the scope of the demand being created through these outside influences—where it is coming from and where it will land—the IDeaS RMS version 6.0 enables revenue managers to input what they know about the volume of demand that marketing stimulates for more accurate forecasts and decision-making. The new functionality helps bridge the gap between technology and human insights—a vital collaborative step that revenue management systems and procedures struggled to leverage in the past.

The IDeaS RMS version 6.0 also contains enhanced data visualization and scheduling capabilities. The system analyzes hundreds of thousands of calculations and executes thousands of customized reports daily for clients to help ensure that the best revenue decisions are being made.

Lastly, the reporting functionality has also been enhanced. If a revenue manager would like a customizable report sent to a secured FTP site on the first Tuesday of every month, the software can do that.
