Holiday Inn Select Rosemont Installs Flight Information Displays
The Holiday Inn Select Hotel & Suites Chicago O'Hare/Rosemont in Rosemont, IL announces that they have successfully installed Flyte Systems' FlyteBoard and FlytePass products. The property also plans a test rollout, in cooperation with an in-room entertainment vendor, of Flyte Systems' FlyteChannel guestroom airline information television feed.
"Since we are located only one mile from Chicago O'Hare Airport, we cater to 'everyday heroes,'" says general manager Russell John. "When we recently underwent an extensive renovation we were looking for just this type of enhancement to better serve our traveling guests. With the uncertainties surrounding air travel today, providing guests with accurate airline information fills a much-needed gap and adds confidence to their travel plans."
Real-time Flight Information
FlyteBoard, developed by Flyte Systems, is a wall, floor or ceiling mounted high-definition, flat panel screen that properties install in public areas to provide guests with 'glance-and-go' convenience for more confident travel planning. What sets Flyte Systems apart from PC-based applications is the ability to post accurate, real-time airline flight arrival and departure information, not FAA-regulated scheduled departure times that do not list delays caused by:
- Air Traffic Control
- Aircraft maintenance
- Crew availability
- Weather
Flyte offers a suite of products that serve the traveling public: FlyteBoard, FlytePass, FlyteChannel and FlyteTouch.
- FlyteBoard is a wall, floor or ceiling mounted high-definition, flat panel screen for lobbies, restaurants, bars and other public areas, displaying flight information for one or more airports
- FlytePass uses FlyteTouch technology and adds free, secure boarding pass printing, packaged in an all-wood kiosk
- FlyteChannel permits guests to view live airport arrival/departure screens via their in-room TV.
- FlyteTouch enables individual guests to search flight information via touch screens that display real-time flight arrivals and departures for one or more airports.
Real-time convenience and time savings
Mr. John notes that the Holiday Inn Select Hotel & Suites Rosemont chose to place its Flyte products in the property's lobby rather than in the second floor Business Center because it was such a time saver for guests. "Installing Flyte Systems has really helped my staff. Before Flyte they received a tremendous number of requests to go upstairs and print out boarding passes from the computers in the Business Center. The lobby location is so much more convenient since guests can quickly duck out of meetings and glance at the FlyteBoard to see if their flight is on time and then print out boarding passes," says John. He also noted the property receives a great deal of positive feedback from guests who no longer have to pull out their phones, laptops or email devices to check flights. "This is more convenient for them."
