Dinerware to Extend POS Platform Capabilities through DishCloud Acquisition

Dinerware, Inc., a leading developer of restaurant point of sale (POS) software, has recently acquired the privately held DishCloud, a Web-based ordering service. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

DishCloud, based in Seattle, is a strategic addition to the Dinerware POS software platform. It will extend Dinerware's Web-based capabilities and offer an additional revenue stream for Dinerware customers via the DishCloud online ordering service. The service integrates directly into the Dinerware point-of-sale system for seamless transactions and order processing from the web to the restaurant. Customers can order and pay for items from the restaurant's website in one simple transaction.

A monthly flat fee, a rich user experience, and a new revenue stream are competitive differentiators that resonate well with restaurateurs.

DishCloud Online Ordering services are available for all types of hospitality verticals including multi-unit operations, quick serve and fast casual, hotels, food courts and delivery or take-out operations. Dinerware customers now have the ability to activate an additional revenue stream without the necessity of additional overhead, a critical component for businesses that want to expand their visibility and offerings in a down economy.
