Cvent Releases Upgrades for Event Management, Web Survey Products
Cvent, a provider of on-demand event management software and strategic meetings management solutions, announces substantial upgrades to the company's Event Management, Supplier Network, and Web Survey products. Each Cvent software release contains new features and improved functionality primarily derived from client requests and the needs of the evolving event industry.
Cvent's Event Management solution received over 20 feature upgrades. The most notable addition to the Event Management tool is user-friendly dashboards to give planners a strategic overview across events. Other major enhancements included an improved HTML editor, the ability to charge taxes and service fees at point of sale, more flexibility to customize web pages, registration links and event fields in the system as well as additional functionality for volume discounts with group registration. The release also includes Strategic Meetings Management tools to help organizations tactically manage meeting spend.

The Cvent Supplier Network, the company's latest product, is a free online marketplace and request for proposal (RFP) tool for meeting planners. As a result of feedback during a six-month pilot program, Cvent made significant upgrades to help planners further streamline their event venue selection and sourcing processes. The Supplier Network enhancements improve the system's usability for both new and advanced event planners with more ways to filter search results, manage personal contacts and add multiple suppliers to RFPs at one time. The enhancements also reflect Cvent's international event focus. Now planners can view meeting space measurements in both English and metric units and specify the type of currency used in their RFPs. Cvent added over 2,500 international venue profiles since last quarter. The Supplier Network also includes over 8,000 new venue profiles, 14,000 new service provider profiles as well as 10,000 new restaurants with private banquet space.
Cvent's Web Survey tool streamlines the process of gathering feedback and critical business intelligence. Recent enhancements to the survey tool include integration with statistical reporting tools that extend analytical reach, increased opportunities to customize surveys to meet branding and/or look and feel requirements, custom dashboards to monitor key metrics, and increased workflow and permission settings that speak to collaborative work environments and corporate accountability needs. Cvent Web Survey users have more tools to test markets, qualify leads, and measure program effectiveness with ease and efficiency.
