Casio Teams with Business Alliance to Launch Integrated Payment Solution
Casio America, Inc. has announced a business alliance with PAX Technology, Inc. and Mercury Payment Systems. This partnership will enable Casio’s QT-6100 and QT-6600 flash ROM touch terminals and the mid range electronic cash register machines, the TE-1500, TK-1550, TE-2200 and TE-2400 to interface with the PAX Secure SP30 PIN Pad and Mercury Payment Systems software.
With PAX and Mercury Payment Systems, Casio’s electronic cash registers offer seamless transactions, as well as enhanced processing speed, and a lower cost of ownership by eliminating rental fees, unnecessary hardware, and add-ons.
Coupled with Casio's electronic cash registers and POS systems, PAX's SP30 PIN Pad offers a magnetic card reader, an IP port for high speed processing and a dial backup port to avoid problems arising with a store’s internet connection. Additionally, the SP30 PIN Pad is outfitted with a large 128x64 pixel LCD with four lines of display and three function keys to facilitate quick and user friendly payment options.
Another benefit of the Casio/PAX offering is the PAX terminal is pre-loaded with the Mercury Payment Systems application software. Mercury Payment Systems, one of the most popular payment processing companies in the industry, will provide Casio electronic cash registers and POS terminals the ability to use Mercury’s extensive credit and gift card services. This collaboration provides retailers with a total plug-n-play solution with the cash register/POS (Casio), a functional credit card terminal with IP and dial backup (PAX) and payment processing services (Mercury) at a substantially lower cost than the competition.
