Buffalo Wild Wings Looks to Bolster Use of Anticipatory Tech

According to, Buffalo Wild Wings (BWW) wants to emulate companies such as Google and Apple to anticipate what customers need or want before they need/want it. To do this, it said it is improving its technology platforms to be more anticipatory and personal. For example, it is using geo-location tech to send targeted offers and to engage with guests. The company is also trying to increase online ordering. Currently, more than a quarter of takeout orders for BWW' company-owned locations are made through digital channels like mobile and online. In October, the company revamped its website – specifically its online ordering platform – to focus on convenience, customization and letting diners see the food they're ordering. This led to an 20% increase in online sales.
