Buffalo Wild Wings Looks to Bolster Use of Anticipatory Tech

11/21/2017

According to CNBC.com, Buffalo Wild Wings (BWW) wants to emulate companies such as Google and Apple to anticipate what customers need or want before they need/want it. To do this, it said it is improving its technology platforms to be more anticipatory and personal. For example, it is using geo-location tech to send targeted offers and to engage with guests. The company is also trying to increase online ordering. Currently, more than a quarter of takeout orders for BWW' company-owned locations are made through digital channels like mobile and online. In October, the company revamped its website – specifically its online ordering platform – to focus on convenience, customization and letting diners see the food they're ordering. This led to an 20% increase in online sales.
