App Liberates JFK Flyers from Stress of Finding Food

6/6/2011
Travelers through John F. Kennedy International Airport’s Delta Terminal 3 now have the ability to order and pay for meals from Balducci’s Food Lover’s Market or Chili’s Too using their smartphone, and have the meal delivered directly to them at the gate through the B4YouBoard mobile app. Meals may also be picked up at a dedicated B4YouBoard kiosk.

HMSHost created the B4YouBoard app specifically to make the traveler’s day better and help him or her get from the airport curb to the gate without having to worry whether or not there is time to grab a bite to eat long the way.

HMSHost partnered with Arlington, VA-based technology developer Airside Mobile to launch B4YouBoard on Airside's mobile transaction platform, developed specifically for airport services. Airside's technology is designed to let passengers order, reserve, and pay for meals, retail items, and premium services at the airport—rapidly and securely from their smartphones.

B4YouBoard is available for free download at Apple’s App Store. The mobile app pilot program is initially available for iPhone users and will be offered for Android users in mid-June. HMSHost plans to roll out the B4YouBoard program to additional airports in 2011.
