WORLDHOTELS' Revamped Online Efforts Underway
WORLDHOTELS announces the launch of a new Web site featuring enhanced functionality and a new design to appeal to Web-surfing consumers and generate more room nights and revenue for the company's member hotels.
The new design of worldhotels.com offers more images, videos, reviews, weather forecasts and maps to encourage customers to book more stays at WORLDHOTELS' properties.
"The main difference between the old and new sites is rich, visual content, as today's consumers have high expectations for hotel Web sites," says Edward Perry, director of eCommerce for WORLDHOTELS-The Americas. "Detailed property information, high-quality imagery, a great booking experience and price confidence are just some of user-friendly features provided by our new site."
Among the site's new functionality is map software by Google, which shows the exact location of all WORLDHOTELS' properties. It also provides the travel route to the hotel as well as directions to landmarks in key destinations.
Another new feature is a five-day weather report for every WORLDHOTELS' destination, including temperature, humidity, winds, rainfall and a climate profile for the entire year.
To give customers a sense of transparency and reassurance that accurate information is being provided by the site, Perry said independent reviews from TripAdvisor are also included on worldhotels.com. The purpose of providing third-party content is to increase the time customers spend on the site and, in turn, increase probability they will book a WORLDHOTELS' property based on the available information.
The new site also provides a wide range of search options to make it easy and fun for users to find what they are looking for. For example, the Quick Reservation Form, for guests who already know where and when they want to travel, has search options by price, facilities and type of hotel.
"Get Inspired" asks visitors to choose their preferred temperature, cuisine, nightlife, recreation and wellness, as well as activities and adventures, and then matches their personal choices with the relevant hotel offers.
