Taco Bell Updates Digital Experience, Loyalty Program

Taco Bell is launching a beta version of Taco Bell Rewards.

Taco Bell is expanding its digital experience for customers and rewards.

The brand kicked off the updated loyalty program by giving away a free $5 Chalupa Cravings Box to registered app users nationwide on June 30. Guests used the app to order ahead  and went to their Taco Bell drive-thru for contactless pickup.

“We’re excited to elevate our digital ecosystem and bring our biggest fans an even more convenient, safe, and rewarding experience at Taco Bell,” said Taco Bell’s Vice President of Digital, Zipporah Allen. “Exclusive experiences in our app - like a free Chalupa Cravings Box and earning points towards free food with Taco Bell Rewards - are just the start of the many digital initiatives that we plan to bring fans throughout the year.”

Updated Taco Bell Rewards

The brand is also launching a beta version of Taco Bell Rewards, a way for fans to earn freebies for eating tacos. The loyalty program begins to rollout via the Taco Bell app nationwide later this month and free Doritos Locos Tacos will be up for grabs just by joining the program.

HT's Top Women in Restaurant Technology Rising Star Award Winner Malia Alley, senior manager - digital, is leading the launch of loyalty for Taco Bell.

Here’s how the loyalty program works: download the latest Taco Bell app. Make qualifying purchases on the app and earn points faster than you can spell D-L-T. Enrolled fans earn 250 points for every $25 spent and 250 points earns you a free reward. Being a part of Taco Bell royalty also means unlocking VIP rewards like birthday gifts, bonus point challenges and exclusive offers that unlock special deals.

The Taco Bell app is the easiest way to order fan favorites, and it’s also the best way to get contactless service through the drive-thru by skipping payment at the window completely.
