Subway Hires Global Chief Digital and Information Officer

Donagh Herlihy, a former Bloomin' Brands executive, has joined Subway as its new Global Chief Digital and Information Officer.

Subway restaurants announced today that Donagh Herlihy has joined the company as its new Global Chief Digital and Information Officer. In this role, Herlihy is responsible for overseeing the company's global technology teams and initiatives to deliver modern, timely and effective platforms for Subway franchisees and guests.

Industry vet Donagh Herlihy has extensive knowledge of restaurant technology and QSR brands.

Herlihy has more than 20 years of experience leading global digital and e-commerce teams in the food, retail and restaurant industries, previously holding executive positions at major brands, including Bloomin' Brands, Avon Products and the Wrigley Company. His expertise includes digital innovation and strategy, guest-facing technology and international growth.

Subway CEO John Chidsey said Herlihy's "extensive knowledge and understanding of QSR brands and restaurant technology will allow us to accelerate our digital transformation, ultimately resulting in a better guest experience as well as revenue growth and operating efficiency for our franchisees
