Stratosphere First to Utilize Travel Tripper's New Booking Engine
Hotel website and reservations solutions provider Travel Tripper launched
RezTrip Direct, a new complementary version of its RezTrip Classic booking engine. This new booking engine was designed as part of a new partnership with American Casino & Entertainment Properties (ACEP), of which the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower in Las Vegas will be the first to utilize the new solution.
The Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower is said to be an ideal candidate for RezTrip Direct’s debut. The Las Vegas property wanted to increase its booking business in order to realize higher average daily rates and lower their commission costs. The 2,500-room property looked to Travel Tripper to create a booking engine that would help it better convert visitors to their heavily trafficked website.

• Booking urgency – A countdown clock displays special offers that will expire soon.
• Room scarcity – Guests will see the number of rooms remaining when it reaches below a certain threshold.
• Hotel popularity – Guests will see the number of rooms booked within a specific time period.
• Ratings transparency – TripAdvisor badge displays star rating with link to traveler reviews.
• Automated Best Rate Guarantee – Metasearch tool compares hotel rates to online travel agencies and automatically price matches to ensure travelers receive the best rates.
With its slimmed-down booking path, RezTrip Direct is ideally suited for large hotels that have a high volume of business, or limited-service hotels that don’t sell amenities. RezTrip Classic, Travel Tripper’s original booking engine, remains best suited for boutique and lifestyle hotels, particularly those that need to better showcase their photography and offer multiple rate plans and add-ons.
