The Standard Debuts Next-Gen Digital Platform
StandardCulture.com, the editorial destination from The Standard, has been integrated with StandardHotels.com to give users seamless online and mobile access to its properties.
The hotel group has merged its digital presence into one single experience combining its editorial content, e-commerce, and providing seamless booking immediacy.
Following the recent debut of One Night Standard, the exclusive same-night instant booking app, which offers a disruptive approach to spontaneous reservations, The Standard intends to push boundaries beyond traditional hotel industry confines.
“The Standard has always been at the forefront of culture and content. The new site is the apotheosis in the digital landscape, combining innovative content with the, now requisite, utility expected and demanded by the mobile world in which we live. We’re inviting guests, friends, and members of the travel community to experience art, design, entertainment and fashion from our virtual and incredibly unique point of view, while simultaneously allowing them to make plans to spend time with us physically," said Joey Jalleo, VP of Culture & Communications at Standard International.
The Standard’s digital space will be “a window into the important artistic voices of our times through innovative original content,” according to the hotel group. The new platform will launch with exclusive stories including its first installment of an ongoing series entitled, “Songs from a Room”. Its latest video series captures unexpected moments through performances in The Standard’s inspiring spaces and will debut with British breakout group, Years & Years.
The New York Table Talk story, “The Lovely Life of Locust” will expose the intricacies of the farm-to-table concept and traces its movement first hand at Narcissa restaurant’s 40-acre Locust on Hudson farm.
Another exclusive piece explores the artistic scenes of East Village living-legend artist Francesco Clemente.
The Standard intends to deep dive into its world of music, food and art; pillars that it says have been a constant since the first Standard opened on the Sunset Strip in 1999.
Standard International is the creative development and operating company behind The Standard Hotels, a pioneer and leader in the boutique hotel landscape. Today there are five Standard properties including The Standard, High Line, The Standard, East Village, The Standard Spa, Miami Beach, The Standard, Downtown LA and The Standard, Hollywood.
The company's international flagship, The Standard, London is under development and scheduled to open in late 2017.
