Restaurant Brands Adds Enterprise Mgmt Tool to 98 KFC Stores
Restaurant Brands New Zealand Limited, which operates a number of KFC, Pizza Hut and Starbucks locations, has completed the successful rollout of multiple Micros products in all of its 98 Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) stores. The implementation included Micros Restaurant Enterprise Series Point of Sale (POS), Forecasting, Labor Management, Kitchen Display Systems (KDS), mymicros.net Business Intelligence and myinventory Stock Control. Complementing the 82 Pizza Hut outlets already operating with Micros, this enterprise solution has resulted in more efficient service and improved outlet forecasting within only a few months of operation.
Restaurant Brands employs more than 4,500 people to ensure the total experience delivered to more than 60,000 customers daily remains as distinguished as the products themselves. “We strive to deliver not only a quality product, but also memorable service in comfortable environments,” says Geoff Holton, commercial manager IT of Restaurant Brands. “The implementation of Micros throughout our KFC stores has improved our overall operational efficiencies, allowing us to spend more time focusing on our customers.”
“With up to the minute visibility of individual outlet performance, we now know where and how to allocate additional resources and can provide a better working environment for our employees,” adds Grant Ellis, chief financial officer, Restaurant Brands New Zealand. “Within a very short period of time, after each store implemented the Micros enterprise solution, we noticed improvements across a range of key performance indicators.”
