Cloud-Based POS Rolls out Smartphone App and Mobile Ordering
Brink Software, cloud-based Point of Sale (POS) and restaurant management software solution, has announced smart phone capability for iPhone and Android which allows restaurant guests to: place their order, process payments, manage their loyalty account, and redeem rewards via any web-enabled smart phone. Unlike other legacy hospitality software; Brink’s mobile ordering is a fully integrated feature of the Brink POS product and is not a “bolt on” addition, with inherent integration difficulty.

User-Friendly POS Streamlines Ops for Water Park
Wet 'n' Wild Las Vegas, a new multimillion dollar venue and Nevada's largest water park, has selected the InfoGenesis POS solution from Agilysys to streamline food and beverage operations and enhance guest service. The park opened Memorial Day weekend.

VeriFone and XPIENT Integrate POS Solutions for Restaurants

35 Percent of Restaurant Spending Goes to POS
At the recent MURTEC, held March 13-15 at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Hospitality Technology magazine presented the results of its 2013 Restaurant Technology Study. Key findings from the report reveal that the foodservice industry feels under pressure to enhance guest experiences in the front-of-house, while increasing efficiencies in the back-of-house.

Jamba Juice Rolls Out Smartphone App for Ordering
Jamba Juice, in collaboration with PayPal, is working with NCR Corporation on a series of customized mobile solutions, including a Jamba Juice branded iOS® and Android™ mobile ordering and payment solution. This ordering functionality is available today in select Jamba Juice locations via the PayPal app to millions of customers and allows consumers to place mobile orders and pay directly from their smartphone. The customized mobile ordering solution will seamlessly integrate with the NCR Aloha point-of-sale (POS) platform. It is expected to improve speed of service and offer a differentiated experience to Jamba Juice customers, enabling them to skip the line to pick-up their order.

Mobile Payment Integrates with Real-Time Feedback at POS
Tabbedout has expanded their partnership with the restaurant point-of-sale (POS) company Future POS. This new partnership means that the Tabbedout merchant marketing solution, Periscope, is now available in the 4,000+ Future POS merchant locations that use the Future Fusion software in their restaurants, bars, and hotels, and will be available in all new Future Fusion POS installs and system upgrades.

Amusement Parks Improve F&B Efficiencies and Ops
Cedar Fair Entertainment Company has selected MICROS’ Simphony Enterprise Solution for implementation at Knott’s Berry Farm, California’s Great America, Worlds of Fun, and Valley Fair amusement parks. The installation across these four parks includes a total of 836 Simphony Clients loaded onto 522 easy-to-use MICROS Workstation 5A (WS5A) terminals and 290 ruggedized MICROS Keyboard Workstation 270 (KW270) terminals, in addition to 32 MICROS Kitchen Display Systems (KDS).

Revel Systems has announced Revel 2.0. The updated version touts several new user features with a strong focus on security updates to build out its already robust merchant protection suite, including the first ever photo confirmation anti-identity theft protection built directly into the POS. With Revel's patent-pending new identity theft protection feature, an image of the credit card holder appears on the screen every time a card is swiped through the Revel iPad POS system, giving merchants and customers alike a greater sense of protection than ever before.

Agilysys, Inc. has announced the general availability of InfoGenesis POS v4.4, the latest version of its award-winning point-of-sale solution. It can be viewed at HITEC 2013 in Minneapolis, June 24-27. Agilysys InfoGenesis POS is comprehensive point-of-sale software that combines powerful reporting and configuration capabilities in the back office with an easy-to-use touchscreen terminal application.
