Pita Pit Selects PAR as POS Partner
Pita Pit USA selected PAR Technology Corporation’s Brink POS software and service solutions for its 250 fast casual restaurants throughout the country.
With unique operational needs, Pita Pit USA developed a selection committee of corporate IT professionals, franchisees and restaurant crew members to evaluate and select a new point of sale solution for the brand. At the top of the selection criteria was a POS solution that was not only reliable and flexible, but designed to facilitate multi-unit franchisee growth with their aggressive development plans.
“Our selection committee was blown away by the PAR Brink POS solution presented,” said Corey Bowman, president of Pita Pit. “Brink is a robust and flexible platform with a cloud-based design that simplifies our operations and will help provide insight into our business at a granular level any time that we need it. This control was previously unavailable. These features are going to be a great asset to our growing portfolio of multi-unit operators across the country.”
This year, Pita Pit USA is on pace to sign deals for 60 new locations and open 45 new restaurants by the end of 2015, both records for the brand. One of the key focus areas for the brand over the past year has been to update technology and find a POS system that helped franchisees run more profitable stores by seeing daily trends, forecasting sales and tracking labor.
“PAR’s willingness to understand our business and deliver a solution configured to fit our operations, including seamless integration with our third party vendors is exactly what we need,” said Mick Gray, director of IT. “It was important to offer our franchisee community a system we feel was designed by them and for them, with PAR as a partner. We are very proud of our selection and the process.”
Brink POS, a cloud-native POS platform, eliminates the need for a back-office server in the restaurant and no data is ever stored in house. Deploying a next-generation, cloud based POS, and removing the accompanying physical server from the store landscape was a priority for Pita Pit USA with the changing landscape of data security and PCI compliance. Not only will Pita Pit have more robust reporting and insight to their store data, but with the data in the cloud, this actionable intelligence is now available in real-time from anywhere in the world.
“PAR has been extremely attentive to our needs throughout the deployment thus far. The training for our corporate staff on the new solution has been simple and effective. Additionally, interest and adoption for the new system at the store level has been very successful,” added Bowman.
