Luxury Hotel in Belgium Allows Guests to Bypass Check-in

3/30/2012
The Hotel Brussels, part of the Pandox AB group, has signed an agreement with OpenWays to install Mobile Key, a mobile phone-based solution that allows guests to bypass the front-desk. Mobile Key is being used on a global basis across brands and all hotel star ratings to enable travelers to securely use any of the 6 billion mobile phones worldwide as a room key. As part of its ongoing property-wide renovation, the 424-room luxury hotel will be equipped with locks integrated with Mobile Key by OpenWays.

The Hotel Brussels, formerly the Hilton Brussels, is undergoing a transformation that extends to all guestrooms, corridors, conference facilities, public areas, restaurant/bar areas and technology offerings. OpenWays simplifies the hotel arrival process by harnessing the power of mobile technology and using the principle of Crypto Acoustic Credential (CAC™) to enable hotel guests to zip past the front desk and open their room doors using any mobile phone -- any make, any mobile network.
