The integration will leverage the power of Shift4’s Universal Transaction Gateway® (UTG®) to facilitate fast, reliable, and secure payments for SkyTouch Hotel OS users.
Dunn Bros Coffee Increase Sales and Speeds Checkouts with Mobile Pay App
Dunn Bros Coffee, a specialty coffee shop with more than 80 locally-owned shops, has announced the franchise-wide rollout of its mobile payments and loyalty app. With the Dunn Bros app, franchisees can better cater to the most important part of their business: their customers. Since Dunn Bros customers are always on the go, the app provides a faster, easier payment experience and includes a list of the closest shop locations and a menu that customers can easily access anywhere. To reward their most loyal customers, the app automatically unlocks $3 of credit to spend at Dunn Bros for every $50 customers spend. The app also offers customers the option to donate a portion of their loyalty rewards to a neighborhood food shelf, a reflection of the company's commitment to the local communities it serves. The Dunn Bros app is powered by LevelUp, a mobile payment and loyalty network.

First Data Corporation announced the company has acquired Perka, provider of a smart loyalty program. Perka became a First Data subsidiary on Oct. 4, 2013, and continues to operate autonomously as an innovative entrepreneurial company led by its current management and product development team. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Orderman and Payworks to Build First Mobile Chip & PIN Solution for Ordering Terminals
Payworks, a provider of a mobile Point of Sale processing platform, has announced their partnership with Orderman, provider of technology solutions for the European hospitality industry, to build one of the first Chip & PIN solutions for mobile ordering terminals. Orderman integrates the payworks mPOS SDK into their ordering and billing systems, enabling their merchants to accept payments with low cost and pocket size Chip & PIN devices. The combined solution will be presented at IGEHO, one of the largest exhibitions for the hotel sector, taking place in Basel/Switzerland from 23rd to 27th of November 2013.
