Gaylord Entertainment Optimizes 10,000+ Employees
Gaylord Entertainment, in a move to analyze and improve key performance indicators, implements RedPrairie Corporation's Workforce Management and Performance Management tools. Following the success of the 2007 instillation of RedPrairie's workforce management application for e-learning and schedule optimization, it is expected that the two additinal solutions will yield profit maximization, loyal customers, and productive employees.
"RedPrairie's Performance Management solution gives us the ability to adapt quickly and focus on areas of opportunity within our business. It allows us to better monitor our planned business volumes to ensure our leaders are reacting to business changes in a timely manner. Having the right STARS (employees) in the right place at the right time will ultimately lead to higher service levels for our guests and higher STAR satisfaction. This tool also enables us to analyze labor information at a granular level with incredible speed, allowing us to quickly determine areas with cost-saving opportunities," says Greg Ashley, vice president of operations analysis for Gaylord Entertainment.
RedPrairie's Workforce Management tool will provide state-of-the-art scheduling technology to help manage Gaylord's 10,000 plus employees spread across multiple properties. This web-enabled application includes features that leverage RedPrairie's full labor optimization suite, including: time and attendance, business forecasting, labor-demand planning, automated optimized scheduling, associate self service, dashboards with configurable alerts and computer-based training. The solution takes advantage of the scalability of Microsoft SQL Server to handle multiple simultaneous transactions.
The Performance Management tool is a web-based analytical solution that monitors, analyzes, and reports on key performance indicators that drive an organization's success. It uses visual dashboards that can be delivered to individuals based on their organizational role and location. Performance Management includes OLAP analysis that integrates with Microsoft Office Excel 2007 for fast, easy to use ad hoc reporting.
