Food delivery service Chowbus was hacked, and the bad actors leaked more than 800,000 customer records and information on more than 4,300 restaurants, according to reports and social media posts.

Chicago-based Chowbus confirmed the data breach to the Chicago Tribune

Disgruntled customers took to Twitter and Reddit with the news starting on October 5 after being emailed a link to “Chowbus Data” where they could download company databases of customer and restaurant contact info. That info has since been removed. According to reports, passwords and credit card info was not included.

Based in Chicago, Chowbus provides food delivery services in the U.S., Canada and Australia.
