Customer Engagement Innovator: Brooklyn Dumpling Shop

Brooklyn Dumpling Shop is a new concept inspired by the automat of yesteryear. This QSR was built from the ground up with a contactless ordering system. Guests can order from the in-store kiosk or from their mobile phone. When the order is ready, the guest receives a text notification to pick up their delivery from a specially marked, temperature-controlled food locker.

Customer Engagement Innovator: Potbelly Sandwich Works

Potbelly took a hard look at its digital business and realized there was ample opportunity to invest in and further innovate its digital capabilities, aiming to improve everything from customer engagement, marketing,  menu offerings, order accuracy and operational efficiency.  Potbelly’s upgraded tech stack includes an improved app and website, digital ordering integration through Potbelly Digital Kitchen and a Perks loyalty program. Potbelly has seen seven consecutive quarters of record sales through digital channels and increased customer engagement.

Enterprise Innovator: Mamma Ramona’s

This 43-year-old Italian restaurant transitioned into a digitally automated pizzeria that can now afford to pay employees $20 per hour and has less space requirements.

These restaurants will also be profiled on hospitalitytech.com and featured in an upcoming issue of the HT Alert newsletter.
