British Software Company Debuts Hotel App
Hop Software recently launched a branded hotel app to their ever-growing product portfolio. As hoteliers themselves, they realised the industry must implement mobile technologies at every possible touch point of their guests’ journey to meet the challenges
of the COVID-19 landscape.
Now more than ever, guests prefer less - if not any, interaction with reception and concierge. From the very beginning of a guest’s journey the Hop branded hotel app, allows guests to book and pay for various services and access a full orientation of the hotel, including opening hours, room availability and room service. At the time of check-in, the app enables a faster and slicker check-in process by use of a digital key to unlock doors, reducing any unnecessary face to face contact and queuing.
The app has already helped many hotels with keeping guests updated with key information relating to Covid-19 procedures and the measures in place for guests, helping to improve customer communication during this period of uncertainty.
Richard Drummond, Director of The J&R Group says; “the app has been a great addition to our operations at both McKays in Pitlochry and The Boat Hotel near Aviemore. Unsurprisingly once restrictions were lifted, we saw a huge influx of bookings from guests taking advantage of a staycation in Scotland. Guests of all ages were using the app and enjoyed ordering food via their mobile, directly to their rooms.”
Hop recognises the importance of utilising their branded hotel app to improve guests’ experiences. Hoteliers should take advantage of a mobile and tech first market by personalising their messages to their current guests via the app.
