25 Luxury Properties Go With Guest-Centric Maestro Integrated Property Management System

Twenty-five properties operated by six hotel companies in western North America have recently installed Maestro PMS from NORTHWIND-Maestro PMS. Operators selected Maestro to add revenue, centralize multi-property reservations activity, enhance staff productivity, and increase property efficiency and guest service at resort chains, hotel groups and luxury destinations.

New western Maestro installations include California-based Waterford Hotels and InnsColumbia Hospitality headquartered in Seattle, Mayfair Hotels in Vancouver, BC; and Banff Lodging in Alberta. Deer Valley Resort in Utah and Sparkling Hill Resort in Vernon, BC also selected Maestro PMS for their destinations. NORTHWIND-Maestro works closely with hundreds of independent operators and hotel groups to develop functionality that enables properties and boutique chains to provide unsurpassed guest-centric service with a high level of ease-of-use to increase efficiency and staff productivity.

Multi-property power
"Banff Lodging Company installed the Maestro Multi-Property Management Suite, including Sales and Catering, to automate our hotel group on Maestro's single-image database that enables us to cross-sell between properties and centrally manage operations with accurate real-time availability," says Shawn Birch, controller of Banff Lodging Company. "Our staff values Maestro's Diamond Plus Online Live Chat Support and On-Demand Training for real-time system training to make them more productive." Maestro also provides scalable corporate-centric financials and central management controls for the company's eight property chain.

Sparkling Hill Resort, a 152-room whole body wellness resort and hotel with a 35,000 sq. foot European Spa, is using the Maestro system and ResWave Booking Engine to book pre-opening reservations for its 2010 unveiling. "The Maestro software is perfect for our guest-centric European-style Spa resort," says Janey Kasprzak, director of business development. "The NORTHWIND installation team did a very professional job of training us in how to use the system to capture guest information and streamline our operation."

Luxury resorts
Cavallo Point, The Lodge at The Golden Gate, near San Francisco, and The Allison Inn & Spa in Newberg Oregon, operated by Springbrook Properties, also use Maestro PMS and ResWave Online Booking Engine. The Allison Inn & Spa is currently booking pre-opening and reservations with Maestro. "We have had a good experience with Maestro at our Cavallo Point Lodge property and felt it was the right technology choice for our new Allison Inn & Spa," says Michael Hraba, on behalf of Springbrook Properties. All of Maestro's robust Property Management modules for PMS, Spa, Sales & Catering, Yield Management and other systems track guest preferences on a single database for accurate charge tracking and marketing.

Friday Harbor House on Washington's San Juan Islands installed Maestro PMS to streamline its resort operations. "Columbia Hospitality selected Maestro after a comprehensive needs analysis that demonstrated the Maestro ASP Multi-Property Suite was the most flexible and effective system to manage operations centrally for our properties," says Columbia's Corporate Director of Technology Brock Laing. "Maestro's in-depth ASP functionality is strong enough for our largest resorts, and flexible enough to support our smaller properties. Maestro's excellent Diamond Plus Support was an important part of our decision as was the NORTHWIND disaster recovery process."  

Maestro central reservations
Vancouver, BC-based Mayfair Hotels with a portfolio of flagged and independent properties installed Maestro to centralize reservations to book rooms for all its assets. "We use Maestro as our reservation system to book rooms and cross sell all our hotels regardless of brand," says Johane Thibault, VP of operations for Mayfair Hotels. "Using Maestro to book rooms for all our hotels keeps guests in our company's properties and provides them with the room they need in each of our markets." Mayfair has its 12 hotels, including Holiday Inn, Best western Days Inn and Hampton Inn & Suites brands and independents on one Maestro Multi-Property reservation database.
