In 2017 Ingenico Clients Can Accept Mobile Payments Made with Android Pay
Ingenico ePayments, the online and mobile commerce division of Ingenico Group, announced that the company will offer its clients the ability to accept mobile payments made with the Android Pay mobile wallet starting in early 2017. Android Pay lets consumers easily and securely complete online purchases with their Android device. Since its introduction at Google I/O in 2015, Android Pay has quickly become one of the most popular payment methods for Android users, who represent a large majority of mobile users. With mobile wallets continuing to become a more prominent way for consumers to make purchases, Ingenico ePayments is committed to helping merchants optimize their mobile sales with the most-used and fastest-growing payment methods, such as Android Pay.
Consumers increasingly expect the shopping experience on their mobile device to offer the same simplicity and security as desktop or even in-store shopping. Android Pay addresses consumer expectations by enabling merchants to provide a seamless checkout experience that eliminates the need to continually enter payment and delivery information. Setting up Android Pay is fast and easy, and once an eligible credit or debit card has been assigned, Android Pay is automatically added as a payment option with those merchants that are able to accept it. For Ingenico clients, adding Android Pay is a simple process with Ingenico Connect, which includes a dedicated Android SDK.
"Integrating Android Pay with Ingenico ePayments will make it easier for even more businesses of all sizes to further streamline their checkout experience by offering their customers a simpler, faster in-app payment experience," said Spencer Spinnell, director, business development, Google.
