Ziggi’s Coffee Launches Voice-Ordering Mobile App

Ziggi’s Coffee, a Colorado-based coffee shop franchise, has implemented a mobile app with voice-ordering.

Ziggi’s deployed RedShift’s conversational voice platform while integrating it with Revel’s point-of-sale (POS) system, thereby allowing its customers to use voice technology to order their favorite coffee drinks in real-time on iOS smartphones. Customers may customize their drink order, add to their order and have it ready upon arrival at Ziggi’s. All orders are sent directly to Revel, alerting the barista to make the drink and place them in a special location for pickup.

“Revel’s POS, when combined with RedShift’s platform, provides a high-degree of voice accuracy,” said Kathryn Bleeker, director of marketing, Ziggi’s. “Our customers rely on not only a superior cup of coffee, but also superior customer service. Now, with our ‘order-ahead’ feature, customers can order while on-the-go, without having to navigate through a menu.”

Revel Systems, a point-of-sale system, recently announced an integration with RedShift, a voice and language platform of multi-channel conversational order-ahead interfaces for restaurants. Through this collaboration, Revel customers can quickly deploy voice-ordering technology.

Revel’s APIs seamlessly integrate with those of RedShift, which are configured uniquely for each customer’s menu. Once configured, the RedShift platform receives natural language customer input - text or voice - and returns a structured order that can be directly submitted to the Revel POS.

RedShift recently earned Amazon Alexa Certification allowing its platform to become widely available to Amazon customers.
