The William Vale Connects with CytexOne to Fully Automate Smart Hotel

The William Vale, a 21-story luxury hotel development rising in Brooklyn’s affluent Williamsburg neighborhood and set to open in early 2016, selected CytexOne, creators of intelligent, connected environments, to provide full-service smart hotel and building automation for the property. As part of the agreement, CytexOne Hospitality, a full-service division dedicated to providing integrated infrastructure to hotels around the world, will deploy a technology automation and energy savings platform that is intended to substantially reduce The William Vale’s annual energy costs.
CytexOne will be planning, designing and deploying a full-scale energy automation system to power the hotel’s control system, which manages and monitors all connected devices in guest rooms and suites, including:
• Sensors
• Smart lighting
• Smart thermostats
• Automated blinds
• Heating and cooling
Automation will be triggered by room occupancy and can be remotely monitored and managed by CytexOne’s proprietary cloud-based platform, Atlas.
“We are competing in a fierce hospitality and commercial real estate market—New York City—and our location attracts a refined and mature audience of guests and locals alike,” said Mordy Steinfeld, Director of Operations with Riverside Developers and The William Vale. “We have a specific goal when it comes to the lifestyle of The William Vale and we know advanced technology and innovation are key components of that. So, we sought out a Smart Hotel partner who could bring us a unified solution that addresses all of our needs - energy efficiency, technology automation, and comfort and convenience for our guests. That’s why we chose CytexOne. We’re confident they will ensure a successful implementation and work alongside our team to meet our objectives. We look forward to the cost benefits of automation but more, the lasting impressions and efficiencies we will deliver to our guests and businesses with our fully-connected Smart Hotel experience.”
From Riverside Developers, The William Vale will be the latest hotel in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood when it opens in early 2016 on Wythe Avenue between 12th and 13th Streets. Designed by acclaimed architecture firm Albo Liberis, the 21-story hotel is slated to redefine the Brooklyn skyline with its progressive design.
With an ever-growing demand for smarter, connected experiences that retain and increase occupancy, improve energy efficiency, and increase staff productivity, CytexOne helps hotels develop smart technology strategies that engage clientele with connected lighting, surveillance and customized mobile services all at their fingertips through smartphones, tablets and other devices.
