Two London Restaurants Employ Enterprise Solution With Chip & Pin Capabilities
Rex Restaurant Associates (“RexRA”) selected the MICROS Restaurant Enterprise Solution (RES) for its latest two ventures to open in Central London, The Delaunay and Brasserie Zedel which opened in June 2012.
The Delaunay, an all-day cafÉ-restaurant inspired by the grand cafÉs of Europe, is located on the corner of historic Drury Lane and The Aldwych. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, and also serves morning and afternoon tea, with a take-out option also on offer. Brasserie Zedel is a large, bustling Parisian brasserie transported to the heart of London. Open throughout the day, offering great value with remarkably low prices, its glorious, historic Art Deco interiors also play host to a ‘Bar AmÉricain’ and ‘The Crazy Coqs’, a live music and cabaret venue. Owning company, Rex Restaurant Associates (RexRA) was established by Chris Corbin and Jeremy King, the respected restaurateurs behind The Wolseley and previous owners of Le Caprice, J Sheekey and The Ivy.
MICROS was selected as the technology partner to support the new ventures. The MICROS RES solution, together with the latest MICROS workstations and handheld terminals, allows staff in both restaurants to provide smooth, high quality service to customers even at the busiest times of day. They are also taking advantage of MICROS’s integrated Chip & PIN capabilities, which provide fast, secure payment processing as well as powerful reporting capability within mymicros.net to help monitor performance.
